GIMME GIMME GIMME

I am beginning to become very frustrated with the mentality I have experienced when it comes to dealing with Texas females... hell... females period.  What I mean by that is when you speak to one this what is commonly mentioned... "I need a man that's got his own place, his own car, and a job because I need someone that is gonna be able to rake care of me".  The issue with this is while this is what she want from him.. she lives with her momma, is receiving SSI for her kids, and has no reliable transportation of her own.  At what point have we decided that we are ONLY interested in what someone can do for me?  GIMME GIMME GIMME...  I guess taking the old fashioned mentality and applying it to today's economy is asking too much as well because the way I see it... it should be "what do you have to offer that would make our getting together meaningful?" not "what can you do for me".  So many have their hands out looking for something, but forget that to get something you have to give something whether it be time, conversation, respect, or even appreciation.  People will do genuinely when it's not pressed upon them.  Now as this has gone along I understand I started this with Texas females, but please believe the males in this state are just as guilty.  Unfortunately, females are worse at this than the males simply because they are doing just as their momma, auntie, friends, and others around them have done.  Why is it so hard for females to mature into women and think for themselves instead of following the actions of the failed females before them?  As always there WILL be more so stayed tuned.
